Biography: Knute joined McClain, Alfonso & Meeker in November 2014.  He was born and raised in St Joe, Florida, a small rural farming community outside of Dade City.  After graduating from Pasco High School and earning his associate’s degree from Pasco-Hernando Community College, he attended the University of Florida, majoring in the Classics and graduating with honors in 2008.  In 2013, he graduated with honors from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law.  As a law student, Knute was Vice President of the local chapter of Law School Republicans and Treasurer for the local student chapter of the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy.  Knute was also involved in the local chapter of Christian Legal Society, the Catholic Student Center at St Augustine’s Catholic Church, and the Law College Council.  He served as an extern in the Crimes Against Women and Children division of the State Attorney’s Office of the Eight Judicial Circuit, assisting in the prosecution of felony domestic violence cases.  He later served as a Certified Legal Intern in the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office, prosecuting misdemeanors and felonies committed by juveniles.  After passing the Florida Bar Examination in September of 2013, Knute joined the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office as an assistant state attorney where he conducted numerous jury trials, nonjury trials, and motion hearings. Knute is a longtime parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where he teaches adult religious education classes.  He is also a member of the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy.
